Founder's Note · Q3, At-Home & Monsoon

The monsoon makes certain truths obvious.

Fabric either lets you breathe or it does not. A dress either stays with the body through a wet afternoon, or it begins to fight it. This season we kept returning to pieces that hold their line in humidity and still feel quiet enough for the life most women are actually living.

Genesis is not interested in clothing that asks for performance. It is interested in clothing that lets a woman look like herself — with more ease, and more precision, than before.

Now · The Onam Collection

Named for the flowers of the season.

The Moment · A Considered Cadence

The Moment is here.

A small, named run — pieces drawn for Onam, live now. It closes on its own time, not when stock runs low.

Nothing here is discounted, and nothing is rushed. When this window closes, the pieces move — unchanged — into the Archive, and rest there, fully available to buy.

Story · Studio Notes — The Designer's Eye

The line begins where weather, body and proportion meet.

Every Genesis piece is shaped through three questions: does it serve the woman over forty, will it breathe in heat and monsoon air, and does it give her identity without asking her to perform. Nineteen years of an interior designer's eye, turned toward clothing.
